I'm a writer. And whilst there may be the occasional J.K.Rowling, there are many more struggling to survive, and I'm one of those.

I thought of Logic for Girls as a way of giving girls/women a confidence boost with an injection of humour. Unfortunately a website like this costs money, and whilst there are things that I can sell to offset the cost of producing Logic for Girls, (see Books and Stuff.) it simply doesn't leave enough for me to buy food. Or pay my rent.

Of course, most newspapers will ask you to sign up for a subscription to their content, but I hate that business model myself, so I was never going to go down that route. Then I saw the PayPal Donation idea, and that seemed a much better idea all round.

Given the current trend of restaurants asking customers to decide what they want to pay rather than setting prices, I thought it would be better to ask readers for donations rather than switching to a subscription model.
